That's what's interesting and almost destabilizing because I lose all my bearings. It's like a conversation; you are not the only one speaking." "The bad boy of fashion", because we like to call him that, will never cease to surprise and amaze us.
Born in Arcueil in 1952, Jean-Paul Gaultier had an early passion for fashion. A famous anecdote tells that he carried out his first fashion experiments on his teddy bear. He spent most of his time with his grandmother, where he made his first sketch inspired by the urban jungle that surrounded him. His outstanding success allows him to lead a fight against all forms of discrimination and intolerance. The themes of his collections are excellent examples of his desire to overturn the codes and mix styles: A wardrobe for 2, Black Beauties. He became the darling of fashion. Spring Summer 2014 Collection
This season, Jean-Paul Gaultier paints the portrait of a strong, independent, and yet sensitive woman. Inspired by the medieval period, the Gaultier woman is a contemporary warrior. Half rock and half feminine, the new Autumn-Winter 2013 collection is designed for the modern, dynamic and flourishing woman. Jean-Paul Gaultier offers accessories that have volume and extravagance. The belts are wide, like a shell protecting the fragile body of the bohemian warrior. The materials are wild, with leather and fur, but also soft and feminine with mesh or muslin. The colors remain dark with touches of burgundy and green, and accentuates the rock attitude.
