In 2010, Karl Lagerfeld created his eponymous ready-to-wear brand. A luxury consumer brand, Karl Lagerfeld offers a collection of ready-to-wear for men and women as well as accessories. 2012 was a new beginning for the brand with the launch of two lines: Karl and Karl Lagerfeld Paris. The designer reinterprets iconic pieces of his wardrobe such as collared shirts, leather gloves, baroque jewellery and of course the colours black and white.

German-born Karl Lagerfeld arrived in France at the age of 20. In 1954, the future fashion designer won first prize at the International Secretariat for wool, a tie with a certain Yves Saint Laurent. On this occasion, he was spotted by Pierre Balmain and became his assistant, allowing his career to excel quickly. After starting his career at Jean Patou, he joined Chloé as artistic director of the Ready-to-Wear and Accessories collections. He then began at the Italian fashion house Fendi, where he himself created their iconic logo. 1983 was a turning point in his career, as Karl Lagerfeld became the head of the Chanel empire with the daunting task of restoring new life to the brand after the death of its original creator. The mission was accomplished by the designer and in the space of 29 years, Karl Lagerfeld has appropriated the codes of Chanel and adapted them to the modern world. Internationally recognized for his artistic aura, in 2004 Karl collaborated with the Swedish giant H & M, for a capsule collection that reaped success. Visionary and eclectic, Karl Lagerfeld’s touch is golden and is dedicated not just to the world of fashion but also art. Whether photography, film or design, Karl will address all forms of artistic expression. Beyond the borders of the fashion world, Karl Lagerfeld is primarily an iconic public figure. In 2010, he created KARL, a luxury brand that is elegant and chic.

Autumn/Winter 2016-17 Collection

This Spring-Summer 2016, the iconic Kuilted line is redesigned in a trendy perforated leather, graphic tweed and bright colorblock. The saffiano leather line is expanding with a Shopper bag adorned with a playful label holder keeping in mind the image of Karl and Choupette. The K Grainy bags are available in bright colors like bubble gum pink and electric blue. Two features provide a fun touch to the selection: the Karl Robot and Choupette at the Beach.
