MCM means Modern Creation Munich. The brand was founded in 1976 in Germany and grew with the cultural renaissance of the 70s when the city of Munich was considered the headquarters of the global jet set. Known and famous for its leather trunks since the 80s, the line designed for travelers now extends to bags, hats, keychains, shoes and clothing. Favorite brand for international royalty, celebrities and VIPs such as Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Heidi Klum, Sammi Cheng and Mischa Barton, MCM is recognized for its quality and prestige tradition. Today, MCM integrates the Zeitgeist with pop culture, shaping the future with a fresh and innovative attitude, and adapting strong trends in unconventional designs.

Under the leadership of President and Artistic Director Mrs. Kim, the Sungioo group acquired MCM in 2005 and launched it in the global market in stride. MCM is now present in over 30 countries.

The 2016 Spring-Summer collection celebrates the retro spirit of the 70s, the golden age of the Munich underground culture and essence of the MCM brand. The collection commemorates the tradition of glamour and revisits disco with references to Bauhaus, Ziggy Stardust and David Bowie. A modern legacy that shines in bright colors, studs and psychedelic prints.
