About the Brand
Proenza Schouler was founded in 2002 thanks to the association between Lorenzo Hernandez and Jack McCollough, and the association of the maiden names of their mothers. They met in the halls of the prestigious Parsons School of Design New York, causing the fusion of two innovative minds. The brand quickly meets a great success thanks to the support of fashion personalities such as fashion director at Barney's or Anna Wintour, who heads the U.S. Vogue. Proenza Schouler is different thanks to simple lines, collections which are both urban and modern where art still holds a prominent place. The brand stands out on the red carpet, and seduce the stars in search of sophisticated and casual at the same time creations. Among their most fervent admirers, we find Charlize Theron or even Chloë Sevigny. Proenza Schouler also means famous pieces. Their accessories have become as popular as their ready to wear collection and as their bestseller, the PS1. The New Yorker duo use the lines of jewelry and bags to simplify the look of modern women, and enable them to create an impacting style in an instant! A state of mind that Lazaro Hernandez summarizes with us by introducing the ideal woman of the brand, "mystery that is not afraid to experiment, sophisticated but not perfectly hairstyled and manicured." From award-winning, the two designers are not ready to slow down, and intend to continue their ascent to the heights of fashion.
