About the Brand
Known for its sexy and chic style, the brand Roberto Cavalli is perfect for the independent, feminine and sensual women who like animal prints with bohemian inspirations and leather materials. With its extravagant and shimmering creations, the brand captures our imagination by its exotic and wild touches. The brand’s symbol, the snake is presented in various forms in every collection.
Roberto Cavalli studied at the School of Art in Florence with specialty in printed textiles. In 1960 he decided to start his own company specialized in textile decorations, where he works with the various knitwear and ready-to-wear producers. Always focused on developing new techniques, he registered a patent on the leather printing technique in 1970. This technique was later used for making the products for such brands like Pierre Cardin and Hermes. Later, he has also created the line of printed jeans decorated with leather and brocade. This collection had a great reputation even among celebrities such as Sophie Loren. During the 1980s, the designer was focusing on his family and took some time off the spotlight. However, from the 1994, the brand grows its popularity by concentrating on extravagant and luxurious styles.
