About the Bally brand
Bally was founded in Switzerland in 1851 by Carl Franz Bally. Well-known for his shoes and accessories and also for his ready-to-wear collection, his collection mixes sophisticated style and high quality craft. The Bally fashion house uses the best materials to create elegancy.
The emblematic shoe for men of the Italian house the Scribe has been created by Max Bally, CF Bally’s grand son. It has been named this way because of the Hôtel Scribe. This high quality shoe mixes traditional craft, comfort and elegant design.
In 1976 Bally began to design handbags, leather accessories and ready-to-wear. In 1999 and in 2007 Bally launched his emblematic Busy-B and his Trainspotting collections.
In 2010, Micheal Herz and Graeme Fidler became director of the creation. Innovative project were born like collaboration with the London’s Central St Martins College of Art and Design, the Art Basel Miami Beach and also the Zurich University of the Arts
The collaboration between the two talented designers Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler and the Swiss brand Bally began in 2010. They both say: “It is a good occasion to gather all what we have learnt of our previous common experiences. Bally is a luxury Swiss brand with a big potential. “
The Fall/Winter collection is their first chance to show their work and also to give the brand a new face. It is a huge challenge, and they are convicted that they will success. In fact, Herz used to manage the woman line and Fidler the man line.
Winter 2012/2013 collection is all about the nostalgic time of the 70s when the brand Bally launched its first ready-to-wear collection. It is beautiful reinterpretation of the brand’s timeless style but with the modern twist added. This collection captures the romantics, simplicity and chic of Bally. It offers leather, lambskin and python in simple and natural tones. The materials are impressive and desirable, luxurious and urban for these ultra practical maxi-bags.
