About the Elena Ghisellini brand

Elena Ghisellini launched her own brand in 2003, determined to make a success of her project. The location of the fashion home in Florence guaranteed a perfect match with the tradition of leather work, the making of jewellery and crafts of high Florentine quality. The Elena Ghisellini handbags are the result of both a remarkable experience and an ongoing commitment to innovation concerning the materials used.

The starting point of Elena’s work is the search for new materials and their associated treatments that enable the partners to successfully make the skin lighter, resistant to creasing and giving a sublimely sensual softness. The brand wants to continuously improve the aesthetics of these creations while maintaining their practicality and ultra-modern style.

The Ghisellini woman is intelligent, elegant, demanding and at the same time ultra-feminine, active, looking to the future and who banishes nostalgia. Elena is convinced that the bag is one of the objects that best describes a woman’s charms.

Designer

Elena Ghisellini''s career is rooted in the artist''s travels between Genoa and Florence, where she founded the company that bears her name. This is truly the story of the birth and development of a style that grew alongside the artist and her travels.

For a long time she worked alongside the greatest: Trussardi and Ferragamo, among others. It was Ferragamo who encouraged Elena to design her own handbags so she could assert her artistic and human identity.

She continued to run her own business brilliantly after her election by Givenchy to the position of leather designer for the female collection.

Collection

The contrast of a chic 70s combined with a call to the East dominates the inspiration of all designers.

The collection is sensual and even has the tinge of an "aphrodisiac". The keywords could be: luxurious, calm and voluptuousness. Elena has created an elegantly decadent collection.

The colours are bright but there is also a delightful rediscovery of the classics. It reclaims the red and black. Exotic flowers decorate accessories. The forms are pure. The zippers are intended to be oversize. The designer has not forgotten to bring a touch of modernity to her creations.

The artist remains faithful to her code: the accessories reflect a discrete luxury appearance. They remain absolutely and resolutely modern and practical in everyday life.
